Finally, after months of being sworn to secrecy, we can reveal the news! A VeloSolex will be featured in: Salvage Hunters: The Restorers on WEDNESDAY, 29th JUNE 2022 at 9.00 p.m. on Quest, Sky channel 144. (Also on Freeview channel 12, Freesat channel 167 and Virgin channel 169)
VeloSolex Club U.K. was contacted late last October by the Curve Media Company to assist with making a programme about the restoration of a Solex purchased by antique dealer Drew Pritchard. The SX VeloSolex group were involved in what started out to be a VERY wet Sunday morning. Rain of biblical proportions threatened to cancel the whole days filming. However, whilst Paul G and Tobe were inside the pub being interviewed by Rebecca Pritchard, the rest of the group waited patiently in the pub bar for the rain to stop.
Finally, some three hours later, the filming of the interviews was completed, it had stopped raining and the sun was shining! We all assembled outside the pub and spent the next hour and a half riding up and down the road outside the pub so that the film crew could get the shots they wanted.
Having recently spoken to Ted Edley, the Solex restorer who has already seen the programme, they used quite a bit of the Sunday filming and interview. We shall just have to wait and see how much!
