Hi Weeman,
I can;t seem to start new discussions on the main forum so I'm messaging you directly.
From the NACC:

Encouraged by the very good day out that we had last year, Don Ferguson is organising another Cyclemotor Run next Sunday, 29 April. The starting point is the car park of The Catch Fish and Chip shop Ballynure, 5 Larne Road, Toberdowney, BT39 9UA. As usual we will meet up between 10:30 and 11 in time for a cup of tea before setting off at about 11:30.

Don has made arrangements with the restaurant at Corrs Corner for those who wish to have a meal afterwards.

The route will be similar to last year which I think was about 15 miles and will be taken at a very leisurely pace to suit these feeble machines.

Mopeds, autocycles and other bikes will of course be welcome so long as their riders are happy to travel slowly. Also non-members of the NACC are welcome but will be required to become day members (3) to comply with our Public Liability Insurance.

We are intending to take our Solex to this run next weekend. If there are others in the area get them out; Weeman?

Gavin and Gwenn.

Hello Weeman.
This is not the best area to hold conversations as not many, if any, members bother to read other members profiles. The best area is the Forum and you will always receive a reply to your questions when posted there.
As I said in my e-mail, the S 3800 was produced in the largest numbers and has the best supply of spares. As a first Solex, this would, I.M.H.O. be the better 'starter' model to look at.

Paul thanks for the welcome.
I am retired and live in Newcastle County Down N. Ireland I joined up as I want to get a velo solex as a retirement project.
I hope this is the place to get advice to make my project worry free as I hope I can ask some questions and get help from those who have been there.

I have been advised a 2200 model is the one to go for?
Are there any other sources to look for a solex than
And postage sources to N. Ireland.
