About Me

I am a man that has succumbed to a late 60's crisis and caught the Velo bug, hopefully I will survive long enough to completely recover and enjoy the after effects -1964 S2200 V2 was 'nicked' and now replaced with a (1967 or 1974) S3800. And in an early 70's crisis would you believe it I've only gone and bought another one!

Thanks for the reply. My Solex has exactly the same running problems as yours, same age and type too. The thread on your running problems ends without saying how you sorted them out. could you tell me what you did. Thanks in advance. Hugh

I've been reading your post on running problems re. carb. with interest as I have exactly the same problem on my 1973 3800. Did you fix the problem? If so I'd like to know how as drilling out the plug etc. is beyond me engineering wise . Cheers Hugh

I hope you get your bikes back, I still have mine up for sale but it's a 68. I've gone 2bhp mobylette as the velosolex was not powerful enough for where I live .....
good luck

Hello, I am known as Tagg , I have just acquired a velosolex frame with no engine I have been informed that it was a 1968 S3800 ongoing project but no one knows what happened to the engine as the gentleman passed away. his son remembers his dad doing it up but that's it I have now striped the frame down and repainted it and now rebuilding it .So the question is has any one got an engine or knows of one for sale . must be a runner... thank you.

I've been quiet for a long time and am still dragging my heels repairing my Velo. The delay is not helped by me just achieving an age related registration for my 1951 Cyclemaster, which also doesn't run. Roll on warmer weather in my freezing concrete garage! Question - can I purchase a large poster of the Velosolex 70th anniversary celebrations?

Air filter spares for 1964 S2200 V2; searching the website produces no information re air filters etc. Any advice where to source the collar, filter and little rubber seal for my Velo?
